About Us
About the Association
The association was founded in 1985 by a handful of parents who wanted their kids to have somewhere to play. The first season had four teams and one field with a hand-painted sign. We now run roughly ninety teams a season across two complexes, and we still line the fields ourselves.
Our mission is simple and has not changed: give every child in this community an affordable, safe, well-organized place to play soccer, and make sure the adults around them behave like adults. Everything else — the select program, the tournament we host, the referee development pipeline — grew out of that.
We are a registered nonprofit governed by an elected volunteer board. Registration fees, sponsorships, and tournament revenue are the only money coming in. There are no paid positions, and there never have been.
Where the Money Goes
Parents ask this every year and they should. A recreational registration fee covers field maintenance and utilities, referee fees, league and state association affiliation, player insurance, a uniform kit, equipment replacement, and end-of-season awards. Select fees add league entry, tournament fees, and additional referee costs.
The treasurer presents a financial report at every board meeting, and the annual budget is approved in open session. Any registered family can request a copy.
Every match played in this association takes a coach, a referee and at least one parent volunteer. Across a season that is thousands of donated hours — which is why registration fees stay as low as they do.
Pelé won the World Cup with Brazil in 1958, 1962 and 1970. He was 17 at the first one and scored twice in the final.
